Winnipeg may sometimes be referred to as one of Canada’s dirtiest cities, and it is rarely thought of as a destination popular for its heatwaves, but on April 16th it’s going to get real hot, and real dirty, in a really good way.  Combining two of the city’s most exciting performance groups, The Dirty Catfish Brass Band and Dr. Hotbottom are teaming up to form a 15 piece funk monster and are presenting Winnipeg with it’s first “Hot & Dirty Dance Party”.  Both groups have a passion for the music of the past and a desire to excite audiences with music of their own.  They will fill their two set night at the West End Cultural Centre with some original compositions and with music made popular by the great soul groups of the past; including but not limited to, Earth Wind and Fire, Tower of Power, Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson.  It’s sure to be an unforgettable night featuring an 8 piece horn section and a 8 piece rhythm section, including 2 drummers!
