What a fun way to spend a couple of days! Dirty Catfish Brass Band had the great pleasure to play for all of those coming into Winnipeg on Thursday and Friday afternoon/evening. We saw many different travellers. Some were coming home from a vacation in Mexico and some were making their way down to take part in all of the upcoming Juno festivities. It was amazing to surprise all of the unexpecting commuters and to see them dance while they waited for their luggage. Winnipeg's own, Fred Penner sat in on a few tunes and played tambourine with us. Too bad his harmonicas were trapped in his bags.
We would like to say thank you to everyone at the airport. You were all very helpful. Also, thanks is due to Manitoba Film and Music for setting the whole thing up.
Have fun at the Junos everyone!
